What important features are we missing?

This is available. Just tap on a transaction and click on “split transaction”.

If you want to take it next level, you can even send them a payment request via the same screen.

Thanks, what I’m after is to split a transaction into three equal payments. This function splits the payment into two equal sums. Pressing the Split Again button gives three payments but of a quarter, quarter and half. Is this how the function should be working?

Got it!! Found the edit values. Thanks.

But would be nice if the app automatically split evenly.

Would it be possible to make it abide by a routine IE, go on a trading frenzy? Stop Losses etc.

I’ve never use Emma for splitting transactions, but out of curiosity I’ve just tried it and I can’t figure out how you tell the app to create a 3-way split with everyone paying an equal amount (+/- 1p).

@edoardomoreni take a look at the “adjust split” tool in Splitwise. Much more intuitive.

Is this in any neat-future plans? :eyes:

Which part? :eyes:

If there are 3 people in the group, there is a 3-way split done automagically. I think splitwise allows you to do that even without members.

Recurring offline transaction plss!

Splitwise has loads of very intuitive splitting options per transaction;

  • Equally between selected members (auto-calculated)
  • By exact amounts (A owes £8.00, B owes £12.00)
  • By percentages (A owes 40%, B owes 60%)
  • By shares (A owes 2 parts, B owes 3 parts)
  • By adjustment (B owes £2.00 more, otherwise equal)
  • Itemised bill (with selected members splitting selected items + tax + tip)

I’ve always been vaguely aware that Emma has bill splitting and sharing features, and this thread made me finally curious enough to check it out. But looking at the Split Transaction screen in Emma as it stands today, switching away from Splitwise would not be an option for me in the slightest.

Maybe it’s easy if you’re using this to split two £3.00 coffees with a friend; but splitting e.g. a £61.38 diesel spend between weekday and weekend use (i.e. 5 and 2 shares) is a non-starter. This UI requires far too much mental maths and/or switching to some other app to do calculations, that I would never in a million years bother with it.

Explained here: Budget annual spending

What’s the Emma team’s thoughts on mortgages and credit in the app? Perhaps pulled from credit reference data like Monzo is doing with connected mortgages?

Or is it too expensive / unreliable / unavailable?

Would be great to view your live Experian credit score.

I’m pretty meh on the score itself. Scraping the data for open accounts that you can’t connect via open banking, that’s the magic for me.

This would actually be a really good feature

Another feature which would be handy.

A slight enhancement to the smart rules function.

Set up a smart rule to add a certain amount to an offline account

For example:

Salary comes in and I know how much pension is deducted from my payslip.

Smart rule set up to add specified amount (pension amount) to offline pension account

Can this be done?

Sorry for another suggestion but just stuff I’d like to see!

Shares as part of net worth?

Would it be possible to add something that links a company share prices and you can put how many shares you have? I have shares from work that I would like to add to view this in the net worth section.

If you could select a company which shows the share price and add how many shares you have, showing the net worth :).
