What important features are we missing?

The more you ask the less I am inclined. :joy:

I think we’re just interested to know whether the team is actively working on it or not.

Hey there,
These are some great suggestions i really like the idea of connecting emma with apps like to do list to keep track of your finances accross multiple platforms! We’ll look into this!

This would be great! The ability to see the best offers and directly correlate it to your personal finances would be so helpful!

Why would anyone want an Emma VPN?
If someone wants a VPN they should go with a provider that focuses purely on that.

Why? :sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile:

Because a good VPN provider will own the infrastructure, have the full-time focus and commitment to make it the best, the audits, and reliability.

Why would I want a VPN from my finance app?

Please don’t turn Emma into the app version of this:

I more dont see the point of emma offering a VPN currently theres a lot more id rather have first in the personal finance management tools than a VPN.

The internet runs on google cloud, aws or azure, so no they wouldn’t own the infra.

Nice pic ahah :joy:

I think that ship has sailed. Their crowdfunding pitch a couple of years ago was to become a one-stop-shop for finance. Perhaps including a vpn is going beyond that scope, but it has already committed to the path of including a lot more than just aggregation/budgeting/analytics.

For what its worth, I would have also preferred it to remain as a humble aggregation/budgeting/analytics app, but I guess they either decided that wasn’t a sustainable path or just have greater ambition.

Great answer.

I know there is a planned feature to auto-save for pots.
However it would be really useful to extend this future feature.

Apportionment rules, each pot could have a % of apportionment.
Lets say you save a total of £200 and 4 pots…each pot could have an apportion of 25% resulting in £50 per pot.

If one pot becomes full then the apportionment of all other pots increases until all pots are complete.
If all pots are complete then the money could either flow into an overflow pot or say in the account.

This way you can automate your pots and save according to priority but increasing or decreasing apportionment.

This would also require a total desired amount for each pot paired with the apportionment rules as realistically people would build up pots over time.

Let’s not stop at a VPN then. Emma could also make an AI chatbot, perhaps sell cloud storage, and even build a social network!

This is defo on the table

The way I look at this is a bit like a packaged bank account. I pay for the account aggregation stuff, but get a bunch of extra value free. If that’s a free VPN then cool.

Yeah, I am also not 100% serious, but features like rent reporting and fraud detection can sit well with a VPN functionality.

I’ve paid for a meal with two friends and want to split the transaction into three and set two of them to Excluded and the third to Eating Out. Is this feature available or could it be added?
