Never too sure whereā€™s best to post, so feel free to move. I received a nice email from Emma today updating me on some of the things planned for the future.

I know itā€™s probably very early days on a lot of features but thought Iā€™d ask anyway - for bill switching do you have particular ideas in mind for how you are doing to go about doing it? It seems to me that at the moment bill switchers fall into two categories 1) comparison sites where youā€™re just showing a spread of the whole market and letting me manually switch if I wish 2) automatic switching, such as lookaftermybills, and Onedox (who very recently released this).

I can see the value in both and think that for a lot of folks automatic switching is a useful way to go; but Iā€™d personally never use an automatic switcher as Iā€™m confident Iā€™ll always be able to find a better deal myself through utilising the whole market and cashback/referrals etc.

Also, credit score inbuilt into Emma would be neat! At the moment I use both the Cheap Energy Club and Credit Club to keep an eye on these things, but having one app (Emma!) to act as a whole hub for all of my financial endeavours would be great! Do you have have an idea about how youā€™re going approach these things?

Oh ok. While we are on the topic I am wondering how long Emma store my transaction data? For my current app as it is manual and I am already entering data from the last 9 years so Historical data was very important and also very handy when comparing our lifestyle history. As Emma relies on 3rd party company for my bank data, once it comes to Emma will it remain with Emma until I want???

I donā€™t know if this was already discussed but Iā€™d love the ability to upload a receipt for pending transactions. I usually use an Amex and I never upload receipts because I need to wait until the transaction settles to be able to do that but Iā€™ve already thrown it away at that point!

I agree that having to wait a day or two to do anything with a transaction significantly lessens the likelihood you will do it. I have a thread suggesting providing us with the ability to edit transactions whilst they are pending, which is essentially what you are asking too. Apparently it would be difficult to match the pending transaction to the subsequently settled transaction.

With todays update off the app users should be able to ā€˜Update any merchant logo you want in real-timeā€™. However, it is not working for me. Iā€™ve gone through all of my transactions and none of them updates. Do they have to match the name of the Twitter account? Can it only be done to transactionis newer than a certain date?

Not all transactions are updating with recommended twitter handle logo (not changing from category symbol).

I donā€™t see that setting anywhere how do u even try to change the logo. Can u share some screenshotā€¦

@nilsej You click 'Imrpove the logo and name!", enter in their Twitter account and the merchant logo should update right away. Iā€™ve been able to update eBay and 23andme. but have not been able to update Brydge, Chiliā€™s, Container Store, Domeneshop, Google Play, Helix Sleep, Kiwi, ProISP, Santios, Satechi, The Art of Shaving, Visible Changes . With eBay and 23andme the logos were update, but they donā€™t get merchant stats such as ā€˜Number of transactionsā€™, ā€˜Average spendā€™ and ā€˜Total spendā€™. You also can only update expenses, not incoming transactions such as refunds, salary, cashback and other.

@edoardomoreni Can you explain why I can manually update some merchants, but not others? Also, why doesnā€™t the manually update merchants get the merchant stats?

Oh thanks I was not able to see that option to change the logo at all in some transactions. For the one it shows the option to change it doesnā€™t change for some and works for some.

Iā€™ve just come across another bug. If you try to add a merchant logo to a manual transations, it will appear at all manual transactions, it does not seem to be related to the name of the transaction. Even if I delete all manual transactions and re-add them, the logo remains.

I am thinking that greater security would be if the app auto scrambled data and opened scrambled so to unscramble with finger. Itā€™s just that if I was a bad guy and found Yr phone with a big money balance I might go after you!!!

It might just be me but I would love some Ā£ values on the axis of the chart, saves having to tap to try and read the max or min value.

Yes, we need to definitely work the graph a bit.
