(Most-Wanted) Features

Yes, the data is cumulative after the first import.

I am not ignoring anything, just missed it completely. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m afraid this isn’t the update I was hoping for - can we still only type twitter handles?

I want image uploads over this, otherwise it’s equally as useless as before

Just twitter handles.

Working beautifully for me!

Does the current system automatically make user suggestions available to everyone, or is there some kind of review?

@lilli Do you have any updates to why I can’t link all of my transactions to a Twitter handle and why linking them to a Twitter handle does not create merchant statistics?

In the future I also hope to be able to change the logo of a single transaction. Let’s say I use Uber Eats and order from McDonalds. I would then want to change the name and the logo of the Uber Eat transaction to McDonalds. If I tried that today, all my Uber Eat orders would be changed.

When Chase charges me a fee they show up in the transaction list with a Chase logo. When American Express charges me a fee, it does not. Can you fix that? There is no way for me to add a logo when it’s a fee.

Subscriptions

I’d like to see a few improvements to the ‘Subscriptions’ window under ‘Feed’. I have a few yearly and biannually subscriptions. However, they are all just listed with a date, even though that date is in 2020 or 2021. If the next charge of a subscription is in the next calendar year, I’d like to see the year added behind the transaction. Ex: 26 Jul 2020.

I’ve quite a few subscriptions. It would be great if I could scroll down and see the weekly, monthly and yearly cost of all subscriptions. Maybe something like this ‘‘Weekly XX / Monthly XX / Yearly XX’’.

Over time I’ve moved subscriptions around on different cards. It would be great if each card wouldn’t create a separate subscription. I know you can mark it as inactive or not a subscription, but then you loose history.

Closed Accounts
I’d like an option to add a note to a close account in order to explain for what reason it was closed. I see no reason why I’ve to move an account to ‘Open’ in order to be able to change it names. Please allow us to change the name of closed accounts.

All Accounts
My AmEx-, Chase- and Monzo account has the account number listed below the account name. My Revolut and my manual accounts do not. It would be great if I was able to add this manually.

Manual Accounts
As of yet, I have a few bank accounts that are not supported, so I keep track of them manually. However, when they become supported I’d like to close them, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to close a manual account.

All my automatic accounts have the logo of the bank, the manual accounts do not. It would be great if we could upload a logo using their Twitter handle.

Hi @BendikHa,

“Do you have any updates to why I can’t link all of my transactions to a Twitter handle” By this do you mean to bulk edit transactions and link all of them to a twitter handle?

“why linking them to a Twitter handle does not create merchant statistics?” linking a twitter handle to transaction is just a simple feature which links the logo of the twitter handle to that transaction. When you set it you did it by clicking the “improve logo and name” so it is basically just sets the icon of the transaction. It is not that smart to change merchants based on twitter handle. At least not yet

No. As previously mentioned, if I try to add a logo to merchants such as Brydge, Chili’s, Container Store nothing happens. Meaning, the logo does not update. For a complete list off all the merchants I haven’t been able to add a logo to see this link.

When I suggested a Twitter handle in the past and someone at the backend attached it to a merchant, I assume that is what you mean by changing the merchant. All I want is merchant stats. You don’t have to change the merchant, but create a merchant entity for all transactions with the same name. Meaning, If I have a transaction I have changed from 'Google *Play Console to ‘Google Play’. When I click into the single transaction, show statistics from ALL other transactions with the exact same name ‘Google Play’. Do you think you can do that?

@lilli do you think you could twist someone’s arm and either get image uploads for logos and perhaps the ability to link images rather than those decrepit twitter handles

We are sticking with twitter handles for now.

Utilization for credit scoring only matters if you’re going to be applying for new credit at that time. Unlike missed/late payments, etc, it doesn’t keep a history of your utilization. You could be at 100% one month and 1% the next and the score difference will be noticable but once the newer amount posts, that’s what is taken into account for the utilization part of the scoring.

We are doing a stickers giveaway on Twitter: https://twitter.com/emma_finance/status/1164472928412545025. :rocket:

It was a bug initially but after the team fixed it I was so impress to see how manual transaction merchant is getting remembered, so next time I enter the same merchants their logo appears automatically. Great work.

Could I recommend that you also update the logo based on Instagram account and not just Twitter account?

A lot more shops have Instagram accounts than Twitter accounts.

We are chatting here (Merchant logo submission process) about that. :stuck_out_tongue:

@edoardomoreni can you do me a favor?

For Starling’s EUR account you show the sort code and account number - could you show an IBAN instead? Not going to be transferring EUR…to a sort code and account number

How does everybody track their investments? Right now in Emma I can see the current value of the investment but can’t understand the actual investment and profit/loss. Although I add dividend as an income it doesn’t show the clear picture of investment income/loss. It would be great if Emma shows my adjusted contribution total(contribution done-withdrawal made) as investment amount with current value in the header. e.g.
Contribution made 10000
Dividend received 100
Withdrawal made 4000

Adjusted contribution 6100
Current value 7000

By this way it will be easier to understand the investment number.

Can I suggest you provide some kind of in-app indicator when accounts are experiencing sync issues (e.g. an error icon overlaying the bank icon in the accounts list and an in-app notification in the feed).

One of my HSBC accounts has not been synced for over a week but there is no indication of this unless I go to the bank logins list in settings. Because I am on this forum I suspect this particular case is because it is a savings account which is not compatible with the new open banking connection, but it would be useful to have an in-app indicator. If I recall correctly, I think I have also experienced sync issues in the past which had nothing to do with the transition to open banking and did not receive in-app indication of the sync issues for those either.

Hey @o99, have you read our communication about HSBC?

I think the feature is good and we were thinking about this last week.

Yes I am aware of the HSBC situation, but my suggestion is a more general suggestion for whenever sync issues arise. I just used HSBC as a current example.
