Hello,
The ‘days until payday’ box seems to have gone and that was one of my favourite features and helped me keep on track with my budgeting! Unless it’s moved and I haven’t seen it?
Thank you

In relation to this, something I think would be quite useful is a figure which tells you what your maximum average daily spend can be for remainder of current budget period in order to stay within your overall budget.
Yes, completely agree!
In the new app update (coming next week), we are adding totals to search and the ability to tap tags in transactions.
The card in the feed was removed because 1) it was limited by number of tags 2) same behaviour can be done with Search.
We are checkin this
Countdown will be at the top of the budgeting box, we are rolling out an update.
A lot of people have said the same regarding the bottom bar - clearly a lot of us are not bothered by the Pay and Premium tabs but favour budgeting and analytics.
Of course, we understand the business needs to generate cash and you want to diversify revenue through Investing products etc, but please don’t try to offer everything and spread too thinly. I’d hate for analytics and budgeting development to be pushed behind other features.
Nicked from dozens!
Wasn’t aware; honest!
I’ve never actually properly tried the spend/track aspect of Dozens. I’ve been using the bonds and invest, but trying the the spending aspect has never really appealed to me for some reason.
I open Emma everyday to check things that change everyday. These are:
With regards to 1, I was able to check all the accounts in one go by just clicking on Accounts at the bottom, which was a key button always available. Now I can only see this by clicking on “Net Worth” under “Feed” and then unhiding “Current” and “Credit Cards”. This is clearly less accessible than it was before.
Similary, I was able to look at 2 from above by just clicking on the “Analytics” button at the bottom, which was always there and very accessible. I now need to scroll down on the Feed until I get to “Analytics” and click there. I don’t like that under analytics you can’t check category spend against budget, like we were able to do before without clicking any further. Again, this feature is heavily used by most of the people on a daily basisa and is less accessible than it was.
Recent transactions are similar to before, although I find the new icons less intuitive than the old ones. I used to have custom categories with different icon colours and that has disappeared, which makes it more difficult to distinguish between categories.
I’m frustrated that I see things I don’t use on a daily basis taking valuable space of the first thing you see when you open the app. These are: the red arrow to transfer money, the plus icon to add an account and the Pay and Emma Pro buttons at the bottom. This looks to me as an UI change, but with little input in terms of user experience. I honestly feel that the experience of the app is worse than it was.
In my opinion, this is a downgrade instead of an upgrade of something I use everyday to check and track my finances. I’ve been paying for Emma Pro for 2 years and using the app pretty much everyday since then. I hope some of the changes are reverted.
I think it’s actually the strongest bit of the app, but only actually used it briefly, because they don’t have an API and I want to track all my accounts… They said at some point they’re working on their own aggregation product, but no sign of it yet.
But yeah, dozens shows you your left to spend per day, which adjusts automatically to account for underspend/overspend and ignores your “committed” spending/budgeted outgoings.
They do actually have an API but no one seems to want to use it!
This sounds good. Hope Emma considers something similar.
Completely agree with this.
All accounts being visible: WIN. This has now gone.
The graph was so handy as well. This has now gone.
My additional build would be from an accessibility standpoint, light grey on white is really hard to read.
I would really welcome the opportunity to roll back to v2 - please. I am an Emma Pro user and in light of this update I’m looking at other options.
This is completely where I am at on this. Feels like a downgrade and I don’t think I’ve ever had this much of a reaction to an ‘upgrade’. I’ve just stopped using it. It’s frustrating.
Only created account do I can provide some feedback.
Lover previous design. This one seems bit chaotic.
Worst part for me is, that on the home page I dont see how much i have left on my commited spending and I have to dig into app to find it then compare it with my balance etc.
Gutted … it was so good
@edoardomoreni when will we get this design for the budgets page looks so much better then what is out at the moment. This was promo from the twitter page
This is available to download
Please change the budgets page to get rid of left of or over text and back to the plus and minus for the app it was better previously
What is this?
