What important features are we missing?

Be able to offset transactions against each other - would be very useful for when you buy something one month and return it the next, otherwise category data like shopping can be pretty skewed.

Automatically put recurring or any expenditure into a shared group - me and my partner share the mortgage for example, and I have to manually put that in our shared group every single time.

Allow transactions split between two people to be unequal splits - currently only allows you to do 50/50 which is not always what is required. Currently having to add in a manual adjustment amount to correct this.

We already support offsetting; what do you mean?

Have you checked the excluded category?

Yes, but it works just as any other category.

I am talking about having an ability to add an offline transaction that would reflect on 2 accounts as “money out” from one and “money in” on the other. So that users could move money between their offline accounts.

Example from another app attached

For example, say I spend £400 on shoes, but I want to return most of it as I bought multiple pairs in different sizes. I return £300 worth but in the FOLLOWING month. This makes my spend on shopping (assuming I’ve put this in that category) in month 1 -£400, followed by an inflow for shopping of +£300 in month 2. In reality, it should just be -£100 on shoes in month 1 due to the return. How do I do this?

Can’t you adjust the date for the return to match the same date as the original transaction?

Done. Cheers!

Great, thank you

Hi @vanya,

sorry - I got confused!

I think this is something we can take a look at; as of now, if one account is linked, setting up a smart rule will facilitate this. What we don’t support is creating a transfer between offline accounts; you still have to create 2 transactions manually.

Budget Balance - In ‘my account’ where you see ‘True Balance’ I would like to see another line added for Budget Balance. Assuming I am following my budget what would be the pre pay day balance in my account.

Thanks for the suggestion! I also like this feature, and will make sure it’s passed along!

Hello

This is my first post in the community so forgive me if this request already features in one of several hundred comments.

As I’m neurodiverse, I love the Emma app however I find the main feed too cluttered. Is there a way to hide the fraud detection feature. I value it but I don’t need to view it every time I log on.

At the moment, the transactions are listed horizontally, then you have to click all to view the rest; I would love if the most recent transactions were visible in the feed (like the recurring payments).

To clarify, show the recurring payments as horizontal and the most recent transactions as a vertical list.

Hope that makes sense!

Yes, there is an “organise” button at the bottom of the Feed that helps you re-organise what you see.

Is there any way to hide the ‘complete setup’ from the main feed?

If you complete the list, it will disappear forever; but let me check with the team.

I also have this issue and seen one (or two) other users make this observation. It’s not much of a pain for me but would definitely appreciate a retouch on the graphs

Definitely something we can look at, I’ll make sure it’s passed along
