What important features are we missing?

No problem at all! Thanks for clarifying.

The ability to add notes to a specific monthly budget. E.g if I’ve got more coming out on a specific month from a specific category I would like notes as a reminder why that is.

Hey, welcome to our community!
It’s a great suggestion. Where would you like to see this feature in the app?

For the Groups created, or payment request sent to friends, can we have the feature to custom the split for each transaction? Instead of assuming 50:50, and not being able to edit the split.

Hi - not sure if this has been mentioned previously or is possible but I would be really keen to have the ability to start planning my budget for the next month in advance.

Thanks

Hey! Welcome to the Emma community! :raised_hands:

Thank you for your suggestion! I’ve passed this along to my team. Is there anything else in this category that you would like to see or that you think could make your life easier?

Hey! Happy to see you in the Emma community! :purple_heart:

Thanks for bringing this up! I’ll definitely pass it along to the team.

Anything else you’d love to see in the app in the coming month?

Cheers!

  • ability to input end date/start date on loans/debt in the app
  • set up recurring manual transactions i.e depreciation on assets
  • sub categories within analytics/budgets
-Ability to set future budget periods
-Desktop version that allows faster recoding of transactions (bulk editing) or implement quicker recoding of transactions in app

Thank you, Luke! Your suggestions are amazing.
I will inform the team about them. :raised_hands:

Thank you!

It would be nice to see a savings specific category also rather than having just income vs expenses

Hi all - I’d like to suggest to open up ways to use the app without a direct bank connection, giving users other ways (either manual, or semi-automated) to input their data. It’s probably fair to assume that what makes the app great, besides its user experience, are the features - while some of them are useless or even impossible to operate without a connected bank account, others maybe could depend on abstractions of financial data, which could come in from anywhere - even via an API one day?

Cheers

We thought about this for other territories where we don’t support the connectivity. At this point, we have put this on pause since it’s not a big (£££) opportunity unfortunately.

This is also the same for countries where we support the connectivity. Open Banking works so well in the UK that there is little to no reason not to connect the bank login. :stuck_out_tongue:

I see what you mean about focusing on the integrations which are likely to be a revenue stream than building something niche, on that train of thought, with companies like True Layer and Plaid. I see they’ve got a lot of integrations which lesser known aggregators use to connect to their software. With very little competition in that sector, their paywalls make Emma Ultimate look like pocket change and would satisfy the latter who want the most diverse integrations whilst adding revenue outside the general consumer client base.:thinking::joy::scream::thinking:

Hi - is there a way I am able to separate my income? For instance my monthly wage from my main job from other earnings (selling household goods etc). Thanks!

Hey!

What do you need it for? How do you want to use this as a feature? :raised_hands:

Hi

My wife is self employed and pays income into our joint account which changes monthly . I don’t want to link her business account but it would be nice to be able to see on a monthly basis what she is making. Also we are going through a period of paying off all debts and selling a lot of stuff to help. Would be great to be able to separate this rather than going through the income and pulling it out separately. Maybe even some kind of filter on income?

Thanks

Please can you add a feature to custom split transactions. Only being able to split 50:50 is really limiting.

I see. I might suggest the Spaces feature for this purpose. One person can have the Ultimate plan, while the other can have a free plan. It allows joint accounts to pay for combined expenses.

You can check in detail here: Emma Spaces | Emma App

Let me know if can help you with anything else.
