Looking for Open Banking Testers

There is a lot of data missing from the Open Banking connected credit cards. My Nationwide credit card only displays transactions from the month’s statement, the Halifax credit card only displays transactions back to 13 March as @grintoul found. Both credit cards are now listed twice in the app.

My Nationwide current account seems to be fine.

We can check this.

It’s called testing for this reason.

Anyway, we store everything and never delete it (unless you delete the account or connection), so we should be able to bring everything back.

We’ll need to switch everyone in the next 6 weeks, so happy days.

We are going to go through this and see what went wrong.

Phew, OK, I was worried that I had lost everything :astonished::+1:t2: Thanks.

No biggie, we are checking everything.

One annoying thing I noticed, is that transactions that have been manually categorized have now fallen under the same category. E.g. my payments to Tandem card used to be groceries, travel, presents etc, now they are just general. I guess the same happened to split transactions (have not checked yet)

I am not sure how this was implemented on your end, but looks like after connecting via Open banking, the account is considered ‘new’ and everything is reimported and categorized all over again, instead of just remapping transactions from previous account to a new one.

Thanks everyone for testing and reporting the issues. We’re going to get most of them fixed today :boom:

Yes, OB is returning different dates/types, but we can fix this - we weren’t expecting it because we had no OB data.

Still can’t see it

The account name being different is something we’re aware of (and also about the misclassification current/savings). We could try to carry over these info from the older connection during the migration to make it more seamless.

We have fixed a few things today:

  • Barclays: fixed the problem with the subscriptions having disappeared. cc @Ali there might still be some subscriptions that you had added manually that are missing, in that case you should just add them again and you’re good to go
  • Halifax Credit Cards: there was a reconciliation issue, but at least now you should see the older connection as “closed” in the app with all the old transactions. We’ll work on merging it so it’s won’t duplicated. cc @grintoul
  • Nationwide is still messy @alastairs

More fixes to come tomorrow, don’t worry: edited transaction categories and #tags aren’t lost.

I’ll be adding everyone else who asked to be in the test after the current known issues are fixed.

Very disappointed in this so far…

So I migrate my HSBC account by flicking towards the app

It says the new connection is established

Now it’s asking me to reauthenticate with TrueLayer which frankly sucks - I can’t remember my password, username and memorable answer since everyone has me use a different one with different rules.

Furthermore - why is it asking me? I literally just migrated over to Open Banking. I can’t even swipe away the integration message

Hi, I would love to test Open Banking. It’s the main reason I don’t fully use Emma yet

Hiya,

I’d like to test open banking too. Again probably too new to PM, but give me a shout when enabled and I’ll ping my email address across.

For the current account?

We are checking this, but I wouldn’t migrate HSBC. Open Banking only has current accounts.

Yes.

It’s gone now also

I only have a current account with HSBC as I switched for the bonus

Hi. Was there any progress of merging the old Halifax credit card data into the newer one? My app now shows not one, not two, but three Halifax credit card accounts - but they’re all actually the same card.

Count me in!

When will you be adding the next group? I’ve still not been added :frowning:

We had to take care of RBS which all of the sudden stopped supporting the old system. :frowning:

We are going to finish this bit of work end of next week.

If some of you don’t have access yet, just DM me with your Emma’s email address. :love_you_gesture:
