Looking for Open Banking Testers

Can you dm me please? Don’t think I can initiate them yet!

I would like to join in the open banking testing but I’m new to the community and cannot figure out how to send a DM! Could someone help please?

Hey I have just sent you a private message Lucy

Hi Lilli

Thank you. I must be missing something obvious because I can read the message fine but can’t find where to type my reply! My email address is the one I’m using here: (Taken out)

Many thanks

Lucy

Hey Lucy

It might be because you are new to the forum! You have to send a minimum of 5 messages before you can private message someone I think. I have added you to the list now!

How are you finding Emma?

Best

Lilli

Just to mention that I think that’s an amazing email :joy: might be worth editing out of her post though @lilli?

Hey @Recchan!

Thanks for some reason I thought this was a private message for some reason

Are you able to hide the history of edits for that post? You can still see it by clicking on the top right

Can I be in this? thanks

Can you still see it?

Hey I have just sent you a private message

I’m able to connect with Lloyds using Open Banking but not using Santander. They ask for my Santander password on the Trulayer domain (rather than being redirected to the banks website)

It’s all good now :clap::wink:

We are collecting all the emails and should keep testing today.

By the way, the news is that Open Banking has been delayed for another 6 months, so we won’t be migrating all our existing users; however, it would be great to keep testing / learning.

ps: you shouldn’t be getting ISAs accounts + the connection will last 90 days.

Hello folks,

I just wanted to give you an update on how the migration fixes are going for the different banks:

  • Halifax, LLoyds, RBS, Natwest: both accounts and credit cards should now be migrated correctly, preserving all your edits on the transactions. Let us know if that’s not the case. :sparkles:

  • Nationwide: everything should be linked correctly, however there is still the problem with the overdraft limit being reported as £9 more than what it actually is. This is a problem with the bank’s API (they are actually returning the a wrong value :man_facepalming: ) and we’re reporting it to them. @grintoul @alastairs Could you please provide me (privately) screenshots of the Nationwide app/website showing the correct overdraft limit I can forward them to the bank?

  • Minor issue on Barclays with some standing orders and direct debits not being recognised as such. Fix coming :soon:

  • We also did a few changes so new users going through this process won’t experience some of the same problems you had, such as the account name and type changing with the new OB connections + the reauth prompt @Recchan saw. :tada:

We apologise this took longer than expected. As mentioned above, our plans were disrupted by RBS forcing us to switch to Open Banking unexpectedly and we had to take care of that first. Thank you for helping us test, we wouldn’t have been able to do the RBS switch so effectively without you taking part in this.

I am going to activate more testers this weekend, you’ll see a red card in the feed when we’re ready. :boom:

I would love to test it out please.

Sorry for the massive delay! I love Emma! However I am lacking time to fully utilise it at the moment- for now I am allowing the app to monitor my spending by itself but I would like to have more of a solid idea of my budget. I’d love to have the option to print tables of information!

I have followed instructions to use open banking but can’t use it until the joint account holder gives ‘permission’
