We’ll have a v1 ready to test end of July.
Superb news!
Is this still looking likely to be released by end of July?
We are going to have definitely a v1 basic version by the end of July.
Emma is giving an QR code to scan which is just opening the app on the phone.
Is the web version available now or it is suppose to open just the app?
We are not live yet.
We are going to give early access next week to all our premium customers who’ll be able to follow the development.
This is really a V1 - we have only implemented the feed without any action (editing/adding).
We are going to start V2 development next week and this will give you a chance to follow the progress.
We have already planned a V3 and V4.
The ultimate goal is to have everything on the web.
Buzzing to try this! End of Month can’t come sooner
Looking forward to access!
V1 is fully functional, we just need to triple test it next week; but we should be able to give you access by the end of the week or as soon as Apple approves the next update.
The sign in method is a QR code scan that redirects to the app to approve access.
This last bit is not available in the app yet, so if you try to sign in, it won’t work.
We’ll be live at: https://web.emma-app.com
We are also prioritising everything you see in the Feed first - so all the core functionality. We are going to add pots/invest later on and the Web is meant to be used alongside the mobile app.
For example, you won’t be able to add bank accounts via the web; but we are going to make any other action available (edit a category, write a note, etc…).
I think that’s good as it’s still a secure way to log in. Buzzing to be able to edit offline accounts on desktop at some point. I know that will be part of V2 but do we know when roughly? I know V1 ain’t even out yet
V1 should be available with the next app update; this is hopefully by the end of the week.
Still targeting this week?
I think the update will be available on Monday through the App Store (worst case), but I’ll let you know.
We have submitted the app update to the App Store and we’ll do the same for Play Store shortly.
Premium members should have full access by Monday - this is a Beta version; we’ll roll it out to everyone else in the next few months.
We are ready to release this on Monday.
Hey guys,
if you are on our premium plans, you should be able to get access to the Web now.
You can do so on TestFlight (iOS): Join the Emma - Budget Planner Tracker beta - TestFlight - Apple
or by joining the Google Play Open Beta - we have just released it.
You just need to be on the latest and scan the QR code from here: https://web.emma-app.com
Using the camera app?
I just tried this and I didn’t get redirected to Emma app.
It just launched default web browser for me and didn’t redirect onto Emma app.
Android 14. Default browser = DuckDuckGo.
