What important features are we missing?

How come the font size of the app is changing a lot lately

We introduced a bug that allowed the font size selected in the accessibility settings of your phone in the app; we are now rolling this back and just blocking the size to the one we have chosen for the product.

personally loved the tiny font…

Would love to see this act as a financial OS a bit like the Mercury Bank personal account in the US. Appreciate that you don’t have the full stack but even a summary every week or month for actions / suggestions would be great along preset rules and available opportunities (accounts or instruments)

Also a Sankey chart a bit like the Monarch ones would be amazing for understand personal cash flows.

Hi there, first all love the app!

I would love to see the ability to be able to track my physical gold investments. So for example just put in my g and how much I paid for it then and how much it’s worth today. Thanks!

Ability to add multiple accounts from the same bank. I manage 3 accounts from the same bank and allowed to only add one from it. This is quite a deal breaker!

You can do this

This is the case, but we might remove it soon.

Why? It’s useful, it’s needed for sure to connected starling personal and starling joint account

We can just have separate logins for Starling.

Hmmm ok that’s what I do - maybe I misunderstood what the original sentiment is ?

We have lots of customers that add the same bank multiple times thinking they are fixing some issue, but instead they are breaking more things in the product. For starling, we’ll create separate logins, so it’s clear what’s happening; I’ve seen many customers importing the joint on top of the personal and deactivating the personal syncs. It’s quite confusing.

Love the app and the community engagement is great thank you! A few thoughts I would love to see:

  • Automatic export to Google is great, I personally don’t use Google Sheets for privacy reasons (especially for what is highly aggregated sensitive financial data!). I can do CSV exports, but would love to be able to use an API to query my data!

  • I use the app with my partner, and we exclusively use a Space for our shared finances - this means none of the weekly reports work for me as this only shows Private space reporting which is empty for me! Coud we get weekly reports for spaces too!

  • The “Spend over time” analytics is easily my most used report, it’s super handy being able to track progress against the previous month and see if we are trending higher/lower than the same day in a previous period. A couple of changes would help massively:

    • The “Summary” shows a comparison between the end of the prior period, and the current day current period. This is only really useful at the end of the period, as it will always show a large positive value at the start - could this show a comparison of the same day in both periods? (I.e. if on the 15th of the month, show my spending today vs 15th of previous month)

    • It would also be amazing to be able to click/tap on the report to be able to see this same comparison earlier in the month? I.e. if on the 15th of the month, I can tap on the report and drag back to the 10th of the month to show a comparison of spending on 10th of current month vs 10th previous month). When showing spend for each category, the app needs to take into account shared spend. Currently, if I pay £100 for something shared and my partner owes me £50, it shows up in my spending as £100. The only way to patch this at the moment is to create a future transaction of £50 that records my partner paying me back, but doing this for every transaction is very tedious. Because of this, I’m not getting a very accurate picture of my spend by category at the moment.

Categories are able to offset each other - if you get the £50 back, the app will show £50 for the category.

I have accounts in multiple countries - my biggest problem is tracking spending and savings between them → a way to connect lets say american and uk accounts into 1 profile would be awesome

Message live chat - we can do this.

Hi, such a great everyday app!

I wanted to make a suggestion regarding Budgeting section - would it be possible to add a month selection like the one in Analytics? I believe it would be a useful and easier setting, instead of having to go back to the other section and change.

Thanks in advance!

Can’t you simply swipe to move between months?
