What important features are we missing?

Any update on this feature really looking forward to it?

Yes, it’s already in the latest update - we just need to enable it.

I’ve an engineer working on:

  • custom category pick screen - you’ll be able to hide and re-order categories
  • excluded categories in budgeting & analytics
  • new transfer category

If all good, we are out next week.

Looking forward to it

These are now enabled.

If you are on the latest update, you should see recurring offline transactions in offline accounts when creating a transaction. You’ll also see a graph when entering a physical asset.

Seems to work great setup my pension as an offline account.

is there still plans to add value/returns calculation on offline accounts so if my reference says i buy £150 of APPL on 1/3/2023 then we can approximate the value of that share based on the current price?

We have this data internally since we need it for Emma Invest; we just haven’t had any time to plan for it. However, it might come at some point.

Maybe i’m missing something but how does the live valuations work i’ve setup recurring offline transactions but not sure how the live valuation feature works with offline accounts

If you create a physical asset, you now have access to graph and you can change the valuation over time.

The new features are great, thanks for all the work!

On the Net Worth page where you can add offline accounts under debts, you’re able to add an offline account for loans, credit cards…. Could you add a ‘bills’ account section?

Would be great if you could add a list of scheduled annual bills then be able to tick them off once paid! Just a thought. I’ve added them as a loans account then added the scheduled payments due, but doesn’t very clearly display the amount or date due which would be useful for scheduled bills so you could easily see the total amount due per year and when for infrequent bills…

Hi @TommyV , thank you for trying out the new features! Great to hear you’re enjoying them.

Thanks also for the feedback. For tracking yearly payments like that, I would recommend using the Recurring payments feature. If you follow the steps below, you can track those payments

  1. Find the last bill you paid (like 17 May 2025 TV licence)
  2. Open that bill transaction screen and toggle the ‘Is it recurring?’ switch on.
  3. Create a new recurring payment and choose the ‘Yearly’ frequency

That will automatically track all your future payments in the Recurring Payments section

I’m curious if you are already familiar with Recurring payments, and is there any reason you wouldn’t use it for this use case?

Was just there’s no way to easily see your annual scheduled bills on the recurring payments page- it just shows a mix of recurring payments (weekly/monthly/yearly) all jumbled up…

Would be useful if the recurring payments page showed the recurring payments in different payment frequency subsections (i.e split up into annual recurring payments, weekly, monthly etc) would make it much more easy to see clearly when the large annual bills are due and coming up!

That makes sense, let us think of it!

I have a suggestion about budgeting. I contacted the helpdesk about this and they said that they would put it forward as a produce development suggestion - just wondered if there’d been any development.

I want some categories in my budget to roll over if I don’t spend it all (more expensive items that I might only buy occasionally for example, and which might need eg 3 months of budget allocation to save up for), but other categories I want to restart each period. At the moment you can only set them all to rollover or none to.

I love this idea! Haven’t thought of that, but it would be very useful because it would save me the hassle of creating reminders to double check the refunds were issued.

Even better if it would automatically categorise and link the transaction to the original one.

Any way to change the category of interest in Emma Pots? I like having all my interest in one category so I can easily track it when doing self assessment.

Hi @Rocket, thanks for posting!

What do you mean by category?
