I think for this use case it might be better to have fixed monthly autosaves (they are coming out tomorrow); I wouldn’t rely on manual predictions (if you forget, we might send you in overdraft).
I spend a good chunk through salary sacrifice spending - private insurance, car scheme etc.
I’d like to direct these in appropriate categories - e.g. the car scheme net amount spend to transport category etc.
Any tips on how others have done this? As far as I understand this would be a new feature request…
Since these are deducted from the salary, the only way to do it, if you want to track it in the app, is to create an offline account and start adding offline transactions; but it might get super tricky.
For example, if £300 is deducted; you could add a +£300 transaction and then individual negative transactions for each item (car, private insurance etc).
Pattern matching ((regular expressions or globs) for smart rules to allow setting up rules for accounts like Premium Bonds where the reference for each transaction is different but follows a pattern.
Allow assigning notes and categories to pending transactions.
Integration with NS&I.
Integrations might not count as features to you, but they don’t me! ![]()
We are working on this - but it’s a bit counterintuitive.
The work is still based on letting you edit the pending, but in the UI (the Emma app) the trick is not showing these transactions as pending.
We have some banks that already support this and others that is a bit more difficult (work in progress).
Hey guys,
just to spoiler some stuff, this is our internal release calendar:
-
24th September – Live export & CSV upload
-
1st October – Recurring offline transactions & and new physical assets UI
-
8th Ocober - Sub-categories / New Transfer category / New custom pick up categories screen
Be cool to see how the new physical assets UI looks/works
We are just making some minor improvements so you can see the graph and update the value of the asset.
will the be available in testflight earlier?
Some yes, some no - we use feature flags for big releases and open them when we are ready (meaning you already have them in the app, but don’t see the features). ![]()
Others may have a workaround for this, but in addition to recurring payments would be good if you could include ‘scheduled payments’? For example, I’m self employed and have 2 annual tax bills in Jan and june each year- would be good to be able to see these in the app and input the values…. Difficult to include it as a recurring payment though as the values change each year!
Any ideas how others manage this? Or a useful feature?
Is this live today?
Yes - update the app, you should be able to see both now.
Great - any info/guidance for the import?
Google sheets seems straight forward.
Just create a new offline account or navigate to the offline account settings. ![]()
Thanks will give it a go - was hoping it wasn’t just for offline - wanted to add Monzo Pot transactions and history for accounts.
It’s a bit challenging so we want to start with something you can delete easily
I want to automate/smarten the adding of transactions to a household group - currently having to manually do this with the bills every month and other regular transactions which is cumbersome
