Any updates on Kroo integration?
We are considering not to release it after a bit of testing.
They are not responsive and the way to login is not like the other banks.
That is a shame, it’s 1 of my last accounts not linked.
A few other integration la worth consider (not sure if any of them are possible, or maybe already be on the list)
Klarna
Very credit account
NS&I premium bonds
Kroo, though it seems this is a non starter
Hey Rhys!
Thanks for the suggestions we are always looking to integrate more financial providers with Emma so we’ll look into these!
Is there any timeline for the Kroo integration?
It’s not looking good for integrating Kroo anymore Their system works differently from other banks and the integration was not up to our standards and they haven’t been helpful on their end
Thanks. Ive written to Kroo and said Ill move my account to them if they sort it out. See what their reply is.
Amazing! Hopefully that inspires them to get that sorted!
I wanted to check again on Kroo integration.
One of the recent Emma blog articles provides guidance on how to open a Kroo account, and then proceeds in stating:
“If you want to manage your money even closer, connect your new Kroo account to Emma – the smart money app that helps you budget, save and build credit history. Emma lets you see all your accounts in one place, so you can easily compare your income and expenses across different categories. Emma also offers features that Kroo doesn’t, such as rent reporting for tenants, accurate net-worth tracking and predictive bill reminders. By linking your Kroo account to Emma, you can take advantage of both apps’ benefits and maximise your financial health.”
Is it now possible to link Emma with Kroo (and I don’t mean add a Kroo account as an offline account).
Thanks
Hi @frosch411, we don’t have a way to link Emma with Kroo. We tried the integration, but it’s half broken and not supported by the bank, so we gave up. The login is also not compatible with all the others you have seen - it requires a few steps and it’s not something we’d feel comfortable supporting at this point.
Ah, shame really. Thanks for the swift feedback, @edoardomoreni.
Might be worth amending the blog post though; it’s a bit misleading as it implies that integration is possible (when in fact it would only be possible as an offline account).
Any update on Kroo please?
We have put this one pause. Their open banking connection doesn’t work well and the support team has stopped replying. I hope we can get it done at some point, but we don’t have an ETA.
Is there any chance that you could add pre-paid cards, such as the Utility Warehouse cash card?
It earns cashback so it’s useful to use but I have to breakdown each payment from it as a split. It can be tedious!
Hi Patricia,
Welcome to the Emma community!
For now, you can add them as an offline account, but I will pass your suggestions to the team.
Thank you!
That is a good suggestion but with more of them coming on the market, it would be nice to be able to track the transactions without having to do it manually.
The problem is almost none of them support open banking. You need to convince the provider to support open banking before Emma could consider connecting.
We can always try!
Unfortunately, not supporting Kroo was a dealbreaker for me. I don’t have much use for an aggragator app than only connects to some of my current accounts. There’s a lot to like about Kroo, so I’ll be keeping that. I’ve cancelled my pro subscription and moved to another app, which does support Kroo.
