New feature request - categories

Hi,

I’ve been spending a lot of time categorising my spending with pro which is great. I’ve got lots of sub categories. It’s super helpful to then look at the spend summaries and see how it all breaks down , and I particularly like the % summaries per sub category.

However, it doesn’t display the % of spend from items that *don’t* yet have a sub category or allow you to click and inspect just those items. This would be very helpful to see how much is left to be sub-categorised (to see if it’s worth bothering) and to be able to click to Bring up Just those items just as you can with the ones that have been sub categorised, and work on them.

Thanks and keep Up the good work!

Also(!)

In budgets , when you set sub category budgets the app helpfully tells you the category level budget is too low, but unhelpfully doesn’t tell you what it should be - it’s being computed so can you display it to make it a lot easier?

Ditto with the top level budget - you have to go back to tweak it and then you lose all the numbers you’ve set - can we have the ability to tweak the top level budget on the same page too (and get a hint on its value as above).

Thanks!

I’m s there any timeline or feedback on this?

Would love to see this feature. I only have a few subcategories but would really like that total of uncategorised transactions in a category. All it needs is an uncategorised total.

If it was a big enough number I would create another sub category but it’s not worth creating subcategories for every bit of spending.

I am not sure if I am following? We have recently added percentages to all the items in Analytics; what screen are you referring to?

Thanks for such a quick response!

I see the percentages so I can tell what % is categorised but I’d like to see the value uncategorised.

Example below. Of 744.87 I’ve categorised 260.45 but I’d like to easily see that 484.42 has no subcategory then I can decide whether or not to set up other subcategories

And to be able to click on that uncategorised amount to look at the transactions without having to spot them in the list of transactions in the parent category. As you can if you click on a subcategory sum

A bit like we do in Budgeting with “Other Categories”?

Yes! Exactly so
