My mistake.
I wanted to say quests button.
The very first time I opened Emma after the update was toggled on, it showed: âYouâve opened Emma days in a rowâ with no data showing - when I had opened the app about 70 days in a row.
After I opened it two or three times more, it started showing correctly again.
It seemed like a minor bug to do with when a user first launches the app with the new design.
We are checking. ![]()
Thanks, to be clear it seems to be a very minor issue as once it had corrected itself the count showed âaccuratelyâ as if the issue had never occurred.
So currently Iâm up to about 78 days, which is right.
@edoardomoreni I know that you have taken the decision to remove certain features, but you have users here telling you they liked them.
Iâll suggest again - how about using something like canny.io so you can get a clear picture of what users want to vote on?
Hey @jamesb,
thanks for the canny suggestion, but we are a handful of people, so I am happy to use the community.
The new update is great! Much cleaner and also seems to be more responsive. Great work @edoardomoreni.
My only minor gripe is that little quest button on the Home Screen - perhaps it could be relocated to the Emma pro tab?
Thanks for acknowledging, but Iâm worried that youâre receiving valuable feedback from users and itâs getting lost or not prioritised?
Where can we report bugs / add feature requests?
I had feedback on a feature that seemed missing (a way to identify overspend by category), and the thread was simply locked, merged, any not acknowledged.
We are checking if we can put the Quests in the feed under subscriptions and keep the button for the referral program.
I work 24/7 and read everything, donât worry. ![]()
The new design solves this.
I appreciate that, but it still doesnât help with clarity on what are popular requests by users.
The talk of the floating button for example - if we used Canny and I added âThe option for paying members to hide the floating buttonâ - I bet weâd get a lot of votes on it. However youâve just decided you want it to be a part of the app, and so it remains.
This is incorrect.
For example - I do not have a budget for Cash. Last month I had transactions labelled as Cash. In the budgeting view itâs clear I was over budget, but not obvious where or why for these categories I do not budget for.
It only becomes apparent after manual digging. There needs to be a much easier way in the Budgeting view to identify where you went over budget. If you donât have budgets for every category you wonât be able to see this.
My preference would be for no buttons! Itâs easy enough to refer from the profile screen if I want to and would make the feed look more professional/less cluttered imo
We can definitely do an A/B test and see how it goes. ![]()
See this is why I think voting would be good. Youâll see exactly what the users want. Less back and forth, and nothing gets lost.
I would propose for free users you keep the button, incentivising them to refer others, in return for free months or cash.
For paid users (who have presumably already seen the button when they were free), hide them button (or at least give the choice), and just make it clear in the settings menu as it is.
@edoardomoreni Really like the new design! But agree with the above that the quests button doesnât need to be so prominent/there at all. There should be an option to get rid of it imo ![]()
It isnât? I have the latest update from the iOS store and itâs the same
It should work now.
