Categorise pending transactions

I like to categorise my transactions as soon as I make a purchase so that I don’t forget what it was for. At the moment it isn’t possible to categorise pending transactions (which is the default for my Amex). Is there any way you could allow users to do this?

Does the transaction ID not stay the same? If it does change, isn’t there a way to pass the category onto the final transaction by matching it based on the transaction metadata?
