Zopa bank integration

What a name

This non-beta account has only been advertised for a few days though. If I remember correctly the beta accounts weren’t advertised on Zopa’s website. The way I signed up was through an in-app promo/advert to sign up to the waitlist for the beta. Based on @DPickston’s link it seems some were put on a version which didn’t include the regular saver (as a way of testing different versions).

Yeah same for me.

I remember at the time some people being annoyed about the testing. I think it was based on the exact link you used to sign up. So it would be possible that you heard about the features of account A, but then when you went for a link you found/got offered a link for account B, which had subtly different rewards to account A.

I believe Ts and Cs were different for the different accounts so it was very easy for people to end up with an account that had different perks to what they had heard about/ seen in advertising.

I signed up with the offer that possessed the regular saver.

It would be nice to have an integration. I’ve been with Zopa Bank since the beta version and really like the account compared to my starling account.

UPDATE: They’ve awarded me £60 compensation.

Is that just from a financial perspective (better financial benefits with Zopa) or are there aspects of the app/interface that you prefer?

Hi there,

Can I make a request for Zopa Bank to be integrated at it has great rates and it’s a pain not to have open banking access.

Also Vanguard.co.uk but that’s not so urgent. Thanks

I believe Zopa already have an API ready for open banking support ( Zopa Open Banking Developer Docs - Zopa )

So I suspect any delays on this will be due to zopa and Emma negotiating, or maybe a shortage of free devs on the Emma side of things.

Would be nice to at least get a bit of a timeline on this one @edoardomoreni

I’m currently using an offline account with linked transactions to my other accounts. It works alright, but because you can’t set up a recurring transaction on an offline account, standing orders or direct debits really mess things up.

Not really, it’s available for free; we just need to find 5 mins to do it.

My job is to try to find those 5mins.

We have just enabled Zopa now!

Let us know if there are any issues - I’ve just synced the account and it seems fine, but there might be some minor details to fix in terms of data quality.

Looking good to me too🙏. I was secretly hoping they would have included the savings pots as well.. oh well..

So, Cater Allen next @edoardomoreni? Another 5 minute job?

Is there a timeline for integrating with Zopa savings accounts?? I’ve signed up for Emma Pro, but would like to know where you are with Zopa before my trial period expires. Thanks

Zopa is fully integrated; I believe the savings accounts are out of the Open Banking scope, so they are not present in the integration.

OK, thanks - yes I can see from the documentation that only CACC and CARD account types are supported by ZOPA. That’s a shame, as this renders Emma as not very useful from my perspective

An offline account + a smart rule can help track savings.
