Hi,
I’ve been using Nutmeg (now JPM Investing) for a number of years, and Emma’s integration with it to pull the data is great.
Last year, Nutmeg removed its “Performance” feature. This allowed us to see the “time weighted rate of return” (TWRR) over various time periods, such as last 12 months, which could be used to answer questions like “how well has this performed compared to inflation/FTSE/other providers”. Specifically, it lets you see this info correcting for the effect of putting money in/taking it out such as monthly contributions (which stop you just comparing balance change).
Cynicism in me says they did this just to stop us holding them to account if they don’t perform well.
Emma is actually in a great position to replicate this report, and could actually do so for all types of accounts. It could tell us how well our cash ISAs, savings accounts, pensions etc etc are performing, as Emma knows these changes in balance and timing of inflows/outflows.
It’s usually thought of as an advanced feature, but a report that lets us see how well/badly our accounts have been performing over time periods seems to fit the analytics or annual reports well.
Anyway, that’s my feature request. General TWWR support, where I can tick the accounts I want to include in the report.
Thanks.
