Referral Rewards 💷

Unfortunately Luno or their group are not listed as holding a temporary license at all.

Given you were registered before the deadline in 2020, you would fall under the temporary license but it’s not displaying as such.

I would contact the FCA if there has been a mistake.

Additionally, your response suggests you work for the firm or their holding group. I think making that clear in your original post would have been nice for others who may have taken it as an impartial personal recommendation.

Hi Jase

Thank you for your reply. I do not work for Luno or a holding group. I personally use Luno for buying and selling Bitcoin which I store in a savings wallet so for me it is a personal recommendation. I am just one of a number of individuals promoting Bitcoin using Luno as a platform to do so but I know it is not for everyone.

I appreciate your response and thanks again.

I’m confused what “our group” refers to then. You do not mean the holding group Digital Currency Group?

Either way, until it’s clear they are regulated, I’ll skip this but it’s all a personal choice. I just strongly believe people should be informed.

I am part of a team called Bitcoin Pioneers with the aim of promoting Bitcoin. This is not a job but something I joined as I am a believer in Bitcoin. When I stated group I should have made it clearer and I apologise for that. I was referring to the admin guy in the team I am part of who provides guidance to the individuals within the team in terms of knowledge and promotion of Bitcoin etc. I am not part of Digital Currency Group or any other holding group. Apologies once again for not making that clearer.

I am just an individual interested in promoting Bitcoin and I use Luno myself where I store Bitcoin I have.

For my own knowledge I wanted to check the information you relayed in your reply to me as it is all a learning curve for me. I just wanted to let you know the reply I got that was all.

I totally agree it is a personal choice and I appreciate your opinion and feedback which is what helps to make communities like this more informed and engaging.

All the referral money for Bitcoin Pioneers comes from Luno. It’s in effect a referral programme for Luno itself.

Looks suspiciously like a pyramid scheme to me, but so much crypto does!
