Speaking of which… if you don’t have an AmEx I’m more than willing to introduce you
This will never happen for a variety of reasons.
The first one by being impractical.
I do and actually considering downgrading from Gold to blue…
Yes, they are compliant in theory.
They have provided a modified interface that requires constant re-login to refresh the data, so we are not really interested in doing this.
For Open Banking, we are meeting in October, so they can provide further info.
Ok. I’ll wait for your October news before complaining with the Financial Ombudsman and the CMA then…
In theory, they are compliant.
There is no theory - they are compliant
Yes, they used a fallback channel and instead of releasing OB connectivity, implemented a modified interface that is unusable.
Open banking is only required on payment accounts and has been extended in regards to the deadline by the FCA - they are fully compliant. Not by a technicality. To imply that they could perhaps not be is really not on
I have never said this.
If it’s a theory that they are compliant
The regs also say they can’t add friction to the process becuase the theory is it would bias toward use of their channels, having to Auth for every screenscrape where the creds aren’t storable seems like non compliant to me but then again in not a lawyer. I thought they were going to give TPPs a MATLS endpoint they could Auth to with thier EIDAS cert that would bypass SCA for read only ?
Nah, SCA is still there unfortunately.
And I was going to switch , guess i need to rethink that …
Hi Edoardo, do you have any updates?
Yes, these people are not releasing anything before March 2020. It’s pathetic.
Ohh that’s disappointing
Very, very, very. Unfortunately.
Already moved all my spending to Virgin Atlantic. Bye bye HSBC!
