As someone said previously “I expect (like myself) a lot of users want to export data and have some external analysis.” At the moment do we need to export the data every month and then reapply all the analysis or import the data again into a Google sheets/Excel dashboard.
Monzo has a great export feature where Monzo can automatically export transaction data to Google Sheets for users with Monzo Plus, Monzo Premium, or Monzo Business Pro/Team. This allows for real-time updates and analysis of spending habits within Google Sheets. Monzo exports automatically into a google sheets called Monzo Transactions and my dashboard updates automatically.
The problem with Monzo is that it only export Monzo transactions and not linked accounts.
Please can Emma provide an auto feed of all transactions to a named Google Sheets, say Emma Transactions. Keep it simple (KISS) by including all transactions with all data. We can easily filter exclude etc in Sheets.
I’d love to do this and it’s in our roadmap; the reason why it’s not out yet is because transactions tend to disappear/appear again (especially pending ones). Monzo can do this because they own the full-stack (they are a bank).
An easy way, for us, to do this is by excluding pending - at least to get started.
On top of the live data export, we worked on some major improvements for the manual version; these are rolling out as I type. The new manual export UI looks like this:
Doesn’t seem to be working for me. Linked my Google account yesterday, a blank sheet showed up but stayed blank. A few hours later I deleted the connection and sheet and reenabled the service, more than 20 hours later still no data in the file.
Can you message live chat? There is an edge case with customers that have Spaces with special characters in the name of the space. We are fixing it today.
Would it be possible to add a sheet with the actual account names, types (checking/savings/investment), provider (institution name) and most importantly - the balances? Asking because the balance cannot be inferred from the transactions list since sometimes there isn’t an opening balance transaction.
