Hi, if you start typing it will suggest the tag for you, but if you can’t remember what you called it in the first place, you end up scrolling through!

Yeah I guess at the moment it shows you your most-used tag first!
We can definitely consider showing them alphabetically instead though

Just going to resurrect a thread because this is one of the things that annoys me most about Emma since it just feels so obvious. The issue is with the order tags are displayed when both applying a tag to a transaction and when searching for transactions by tag. You could easily have a little sort button to switch between most used and alphabetical. Most used would make sense if the tags weren’t populated by a whole lot of useless ones that have been automatically added without any user interaction. Sorting custom tags above out-of-the-box ones would also make more sense.
I had assumed the sort order was most used, but I went through my transactions and removed all the out of the box tags I didn’t want so they have zero transactions but some of them still show above other tags with several transactions, so I don’t understand.
I would have expected tags with no transactions to disappear altogether as well but they haven’t.
