There is another post about daily allowance and the calc - it would be good to be able to click in to it and see the calculation on the remaining balance.
However - the concept does not seem to be working - based on my calulations anyway.
I’ve added dummy numbers.
I budget quite simply for bills and general spend - so that I can get a daily allowance.
As per the screenshot, the budget total is 2000.00, 1070.00 for bills and 930 for daily spend (31 * 30.00)
This allocates the full budget across two categories.
As soon as you spend in non-budget categories - which happens in life - it then skews the budget.
I have an “exceptional” category - I want to track this and see it as a total - but they are out of budget spends - they should not be part of the calcs. This category isn’t always used out of the budgets, only months where there is an exceptional. This month I have bought a bed and some flights, for example.
So with this being said, it means it looks as though there is only 8.13 remaining to spend for the month per day - but I still have the general budget ear-marked in reality and the exceptional spend comes from savings or goes on a credit card. So in reality the daily allowance should be 25.00.
