I would like to align my budget period with when I get paid (every 3rd/4th week of the month). At the moment I am just manually changing the day each month. This seems to change previous months. Is there a better way of doing this?

if the period is not supported in the app, calendar months is the way to go. 
There is a list of supported periods you can choose from. If yours is variable and changes all the time, it might be difficult for us to make it work.
