# Verifying email account..phishing or genuine?

Hi all,
I just spotted an email purporting to be from Emma asking me to verify my email account.
I don’t recall having asked for verification, but the time of receiving this verification email kind of matches when I was last in the app.
Just wondering where this email verification is in Emma as I might have accidnet clicked on this in the app without realising.
I haven’t used the link in the email as I don’t want to be phished if this is a scam.

If, when opening the app, you click on “forgot passcode” on the Lock Screen, that sends you an email.

I remember the screen remained purple for longer than usual before the fingerprint option showed up…might have accidentally hit this option then.
