Example of a less than useful weekly report card. Subject is ‘Bills’ category. By definition bills are recurring month to month based on debit date agreed. Some weeks ha e more than others EVERY MONTH. So comparing week to last week means nothing. Month To Date (MTD) is a much more useful measure.

I think comparing your spending to previous weeks is fine, but we probably need to think about how we can exclude certain categories (like bills) from the reports! 😊
