Yes, definitely good for credit rating assuming you always pay it off. I inherited the old house from my grandparents so I am lucky in that way ---

I have been using an amex for a year. I like it. 😛 I also don’t miss my repayment dates! ---

Is Amex a credit card? I’ve been told it is very unlikely indeed that I will ever return to work so again probably not much point in me looking ---

Most American Express cards are credit cards (at least in the UK).
